Is Luce Research a Scam?

Is Luce Research a Scam?

Luce Research is a legitimate market research and political polling firm, not a financial scam, but it is often perceived as spam due to high-volume, unsolicited, and sometimes aggressive phone calls. They conduct surveys on behalf of clients, focusing on data collection rather than sales, and are legally permitted to contact people even on the Do Not Call registry for research purposes.

About Luce Research

  • Legitimacy: Based in Colorado Springs, they are a professional, legitimate company conducting public opinion polls, political, and consumer research.
  • Purpose of Calls: They are collecting data for research, not selling products.
  • Why People Report "Scam": Many users report high-frequency, annoying, and persistent calls. Some users find the questions highly biased or suspicious.
  • Actionable Advice: If you wish to stop calls, you must request to be added to their internal "Do Not Call" list specifically.

Important Notes:

  • No Sales: They should not be asking for financial information or trying to sell you anything.
  • Data Source: They often obtain phone numbers from public voter registration rolls.
  • Potential Misuse: Be cautious of "spoofing," where actual, legitimate companies have their phone numbers imitated by actual scammers.
