The fake email was not sent from service@paypal.com, it was instead sent from email address created by scammers to manipulated to make it appears as if it came from the legitimate PayPal email address. This type of trick is called email spoofing. If you were tricked into disclosing account credentials or financial information by a PayPal scam email, please attempt to change your passwords and contact your bank or other financial institution for help.
