Geek Tech Scam Email Invoice - Beware
The Geek Tech scam email voice below, which claims recipients' request to extend their Geek plan for the upcoming term, is being sent by cybercriminals. The scam aims to trick potential victims into calling the fake Geek Tech telephone number in the email.
The Geek Tech Scam Email Invoice
Do not call the telephone number in the fake email invoice because it is linked to a call center operated by scammers. The scammers will pretend to be from Geek Tech and attempt to trick their potential victims into disclosing their account credentails and/or financial information, which they will fraudulently. They may also ask potential victims to give them remote access to their computers and attempt to use the same computers gain access to their potential victims online accounts, personal and fianancial information, which they will use fraudulenlty.
If you were tricked into disclosing your banking information, contact your bank for help and change all your account passwords.
Do not call the telephone number (1-801-829-7830) that the fake email instructs you to call. If you receive the Geek Tech scam, just delete it, and do not follow the instructions in it.
