It appears scammers are sending Regions Bank scam text messages to potential victims from or instructing them to call, 844-695-0098, a fake Regions Bank customer care telephone number. The aim of the scammers is to steal account credentials, personal and financial information from their victims, which they will use fraudulently. If you were tricked into calling the scammers and gave them your account credentials or credit card information, please contact Regions Bank immediately.

I just got a text claiming to be from Wells Fargo to confirm that I spent $263.23 at a CVS in Reno NV. Type YES to confirm or call 844-695-0098 if NO.
I didn't call but instead googled the number and found this site. It looks pretty legit so I could see lots of people falling for this one.

They are also using this number to impersonate Wells Fargo.
