The official-looking mailer from TX UCC Statement Service that falsely implies that businesses or individuals need a copy of the UCC-1 financing statement filed against them, is a scam. The scam mailer, Texas UCC Statement Request Form, tries to get Texans to pay $90 for the TX UCC Statement Service to request a copy of the UCC-1 financing statement on the debtor's behalf. The look and language used on this mailer try to trick borrowers into paying an excessive amount for a document they will most likely never need.
