If you receive the text message below that appears to be from @dhss.delaware.gov claiming your Delaware Card has been blocked and asking you to call 18882410357, is a scam. Therefore, recipients are asked to ignore/delete it. The fake text message is not from Delaware Health and Social Services (DHSS).

The telephone number 18882410357 is not associated with DHSS, it is being used by scammers. If you call the same telephone number, you will be connected to scammers who will pretend to be from DHSS. The scammers will attempt to trick their potential victims into disclosing their personal information, which will be used fraudulently.

How did these scammers access the telephone numbers of people that have some form of "account/card" involving DHSS Delaware? How was our information accessed? Is/was there a data breach? Apparently it was not random phone numbers.
