Is David Oziel Law Firm a Scam or is it Legit?

So sick and tired of these b*ttholes trying to scam people. Get a real job for God’s sake. I have at least 8-9 very rich non existent relatives living in Canada apparently. Some people just have far too much time on their hands and I pity the dumb a*s people who fall for this bull c**p scam

Me too. Got a letter today, same Dr. Anthony name, What a crock! Received a letter 2 years ago.Same scheme, but he died in an accident. Bite me Barrister!

Have you ever tried calling that phone number and get an answering service and the recording just a scratch zone and they never answer the phone can read that one like a cheap novel

Got the same letter. Nothing about it sounded legit or legal.
I have received several similar letters over the years.
Don't know who to report it to or if it would do any good

It is a scam. I received same letter as above, with my surname added to Dr. Anthony

I received one too, what a joke, they must think we are stupid people who can't see a scam.

We got the same letter today. Dr Anthony has 11.5 million in unclaimed life insurance policy. It reeked of SCAM. I got a similar letter a few years ago which was very similar. I had no idea I had such rich relatives. Haha

Got one letter too. Just how many Dr. Anthony died the last two years and why do they all have $11 million to share. A fine tool to teach my kids don't fall for a scam.

Here too. Guessing they just choose a random surname and shoot out letters to everyone. If Dr. Anthony Mylastname has no relatives how else would you find them. And then not to ask for ANY verification of that relationship. Gave me a good chuckle.

Rec'd same letter, "REF: CAPL/EDD/230111, dated 07-12-2023 [12/07/2023 in US format], same $11,550,300.00, same "Late Dr. Anthony (my last name)", same cheap stationery & envelope.
Logo was of a "scale of justice" with one laurel wreath on the left, evidently missing one on the right, since the right scale tray was only half shown.

Yup got the letter also. SCAM written all over! Even the paper it was written on was as cheep as it gets. Life insurance proceeds are ONLY payable to the beneficiary..Never never never are the proceeds split to a none listed beneficiary!

I would be interested in knowing how he planned to extort money from the unsuspecting victim!?!

Just recieved a letter to split a life policy. What a scam. Dont you have to be related ?

I, too, received a letter late December from this person/law firm. Tried to call the telephone number and nothing.
Sent an email response and now 2 weeks later a reply comes wanting more information. Fairly certain this is a scam.

Yep, got same letter in Arkansas for unclaimed permanent life insurance policy from deceased "Dr.family member". The letter reads so "scammish", has many grammatical errors, and verbiage is unprofessional. The letter noted "100% risk free"- this goes into my file 13!!! :)

Over Christmas my in-laws said they had gotten two letters from this Law firm. We all know it is a scam, but I told them to give me the letters before calling to claim their $11.55MM inheritance, so that I could do a little research about their supposed long lost relative. Hahaha! The first thing that jumped out at me was the use of a "Gmail" email address. I do not know any law firm that uses gmail for their official emails. Also, while the letterhead states "David Oziel Law Firm, LLP, the first line reads, "I am a partner with David and Associates, LLP".

I also read through the website (https://www.davidozielllp.com/) and noticed a few minor grammatical phrases, that just did not seem right that any legit law office would have. For instance, this line on their “about us” page:

The David Oziel Lawfirm LLP team is a trusted source of legal advice for any individual in the greater Arizona area and greater Arizona area looking for a strong legal foundation and continuous council.

First the double “Arizona area” grammatical error. Second, I thought this law firm was in Ontario Canada? L0L!!

Sure appears to be another bunch of scammers spoofing a company, and praying on senior citizens.

Just got one with the 11 million also. The name of their client had the same last name as us.

Just got a letter this week in Iowa. Also researched and found no obits for a Dr Anthony Smith in the past two years and found the address wrong for the law firm. Since the website was just created recently, stay away from this one.

Just left a comment, further digging shows there is a legit law firm working at that address, which is why they are likley using this address.

David Oziel doesn't exist in the "Law Society of Ontario" lawyer search. Interestingly, the attorneys listed in the firm (Lundell LLP) that comes up in a Google search of the address don't exist either. Looks like it's a revolving office of scammers.

Just received a “scammy” looking letter from this office saying an inheritance was not claimed due to not being able to find next of kin. All kinds of arrangements for stipulations and sharing money.
Sounds just like it might as well be a Nigerian Prince deal.

I, too, received a wonderful letter promising millions of dollars stemming from an unclaimed Life Insurance Policy. I am so happy. There still seems to be justice in this world!

Or: Could I be wrong? Could there really be someone in this world playing with the hopes and wishes of innocent, trusting people?

My husband and I received a letter from them that seems very suspicious.

My husband got a suspicious letter as well that was related to our last name, concerning unclaimed Insured Permanent Life Insurance policy.
