Is kbscollect.com a Scam or Legitimate Website? KBS Collection
Is kbscollect.com a Scam or Legitimate Website? KBS Collection

Can anyone tell me if KBS Collect or KBS Collection located at kbscollect.com is a scam or a legitimate website? The only information that is available on the website is a telephone number. There is no physical address of the company and I cannot find out who is operating it and from where. I can call the telephone number but I am afraid the person on the other end can tell anything. So, I decided to research the company for myself.

KBS Collection at kbscollect.com

They are a debt collector. If you get calls from them just handle your business. Calling someone a scam doesn’t erase the debt.. and if it’s a wrong number just tell them.

On August 11, 2022 at 9:58 am, I received a voicemail from www.KVScollection.com. The message was: "Yes, this is Phillip with KVS. We have received the preliminary paperwork in regards to breach of contract with one of our clients. We really need to get this matter resolved as soon as possible. Please either give us a call back at this number (1-470-461-4056). Or if you prefer electronic communications, go to our website KVScollect.com. Bt law I am required to inform you that this communication is from a debt collector. Thank you." I went to the website and they said that it is for a breach of contract with Sprint for $516. That could not be true because my cell phone carrier currently is Sprint which has merged with T-Mobile. I went to the website to check and see if this company is a scam and they are listed all over the web as scammers.

I reported them to the FTC and the consumer complaint department. THIS IS VERY MUCH A SCAM.

So either they are scammers or they called the wrong Jennifer that happens to have my same last name and birth date, but they wanted me to give them my SS number and Address needless to say I didn't

These people have been calling me for a couple weeks & leaving voicemail with their website address, so I finally went to the website today to look. It says I owe $804.19 to First Bank, but no additional details about the account age or account number. I have other debt that I am actively working to settle & all their websites include this information. I also check my credit report regularly because I am trying to clean up my credit. There has never been a debt on my report for this amount or for KBS or First Bank. Called the 888-530-5476 number on the website & spoke with Claude (after their automated system told me how much better it would be for me to just pay via the bot, rather than talk to a person). Claude claims this account was opened in Feb 2006 & was in good standing until Jan 2008. I asked why it's never appeared on my credit report or why I would never receive any collection attempts before now on something so old. He stated that this did seem strange & obviously I was wishing to dispute this debt, so he would mark it down as such & the burden of proof would now be on First Bank & I would no longer receive calls. Unless of course I'd like to just settle it real quick for a reduced price? LOL!

This c**p feels scammy af to me, y'all. I know I have debts, but this is not one of them. I feel sorry for the poor people who fall for it & settle for a "reduced price" just because they're worried about their credit.
