Verizon Text Scam Offering Free Apple Watch Series 7 and Bill Paid for March

Scammers are sending Verizon text scam messages like the one below asking potential victims to click the link in them. The scam texts will claim recipients' bill has been paid for March and they will get a free Apple Watch Series 7 as an additional gift. The scam texts will appear to have been sent from the recipients' telephone numbers, in other words, it will appear as if it was sent from their telephone numbers.

The scam attempts to trick recipients into clicking the link in it by claiming they will get a gift. But, the link in the Verizon text scam goes to a phishing website that steals account credentials, personal and financial information.

If you were tricked into clicking the link and asked to sign in with your account credentials, please change your passwords. And, if you were tricked into disclosing financial information, please contact your bank for help.

I fell for this. Realized it when my bank fraud dept called. They have been trying to take multiple debits off my account Then today I got a watch in the mail, not the apple watch they advertised but a China ripoff that won't even turn on.
