Citizens Alert Text Scam - Account Locked to Prevent Fraudulent Activity

The Citizens Bank alert text scam below is a scam being sent by online scammers. The aim of the scammers is to trick recipients into clicking the link in it. The link goes to a fake or phishing website that looks similar to Citizens Bank's website. On the fake website, visitors will be asked to sign in and submit personal and financial information which will be used fraudulently. Therefore, recipients of the Citizens Bank scam text are asked not to click the link in it, they can share it in a comment below to help educate others, then delete it.

I received a Citizens Alert telling me $860.64 had been used from my debit account to purchase Crypto . I was to click on tokens-connect.me to authenticate or decline. Obviouxly I did not do this. I did check my account and it was fine.

There are variations on this. I received a Citizens Alert text from an Atlanta area code, saying my card (unspecified) had been used @ a Best Buy and giving me a link to click on to verify it. Looks suspicious to me.
