Anyone get ones saying that someone from Russia tried to log in to your account? I'm getting all kinds of fake emails. I NEVER reply to any of them. If you get these, go check your Google account (DON'T go through the suspicious email link) and check the activity/security on your account. If it's a scam, it won't appear there.

I have been requested by Microsoft Account Team if I have had contact from Waĺlecesj-hotmail.com. I have had no contact from or requested any from this sender other than the mail from Microsoft. I have no idea why they would contact me. Can the accounts team enlighten me

I just received the same email - exactly the same. It is a scam.

I also had the cpeyton-gmail.com, and now I have just got one saying Wallacesj-hotmail.com has been added. I am also getting a lot of calls from random countries. How do I know is if someone is in my account?

I clicked it wasn't me but I can't change my password! I had old security info and I changed it but I have to wait 30 days for my security info change to be approved so I can't change my password until then!

that's exactly what the scammers wanted you to do. then you gave them your "old" security info. now u wait 30 days until you find out you've been duped while their trail gets ice cold. nice.

Why not just forward to support-outlook so they can block all emails from that sender?

I have received an email from what looked like Microsoft with the name cpeyton-gmail.com has been added to my account. I checked and no email has been added. I clicked on the No It Wasn’t Me and it came up with another email address - eemailaddress1987-gmail.com. Didn’t send a reply and cancelled it. I have sent the email to Microsoft as phishing.

I had this email too but I didn’t click on the link to say no, because I had a feeling that was a scam and they just wanted me to click no, it wasn’t me. I first went to my account and check if that email was in in fact in my account; and it wasn’t. So I added more security and two step verification. And got the Authenticator for more security. I also got another email stating that this email shafi221995-hotmail.com was added to my microsoft account. So watch out for that one too. I was also getting a lot of phone calls from china, Italy, and at lot of other countries.I also saw a lot of attempted to conect or sync to my Microsoft account from all of those countries including Vetnam. Thank got they fail. I hate these freaking scammers. Get a job and get a life!!!!!

I got this and clicked wasn't me. I've changed my security info but know I need to change my password. I've been getting spam emails ever since. Is there anything else I can do.

I was worried this was a scam when I got it. But when I checked the email address it showed as no-reply-microsoft.com.
I assumed it was legit and answered with no it wasn’t me. I proceeded to change all passwords.
Is this a fake email too?

Tried to add to my email account. Notified by Ms & added authenticator.

I’ve had this email today. Stupidly I replied to the ‘Microsoft’ email saying I hadn’t added that email address to my account.

I also then emailed cpeyton-gmail.com asking who the 🤬they were BEFORE realising it was a scam.

Have I left my account exposed or a risk now?

Once you didn't send your account credentials or financial information, you should be ok.

Just did the same as everyone else, prob gonna get 50 emails now🙄 get a life....

I was suckered in to believing it was from microsoft and clicked "it was not me" Hmmmmm

Receive this email almost daily since November. Have changed my password and sensitive information several times. Have now flagged it and forced it into my junk folder.

I received the email as well. I didn't click the link. I did check my Microsoft account and changed my password.

I also received this email, clicked the link and it opened an email already pre typed it wasnt me. I clicked send without thinking, then logged onto my account and changed password. No successful log ins other than me, but now I am getting 50 spam emails a day into my inbox. Fed up!

If you did not submit your account credentials, personal or financial information, you have nothing to worry about.

How do they benefit from this then? I also fell for it and sent the auto-generated message.

Did Microsoft send me email asking if it was me that added cpeyton? I replied no. That's all.. Do they have access?

No. I think the scammers are attempting to trick people into sending them account credentials, personal and financial information.

I received this three times today and it said to click if it wasn’t me! Unfortunately I clicked it. After I clicked it I immediately went to site and changed my password. Since I clicked link that said it wasn’t me what should I do.

Change your password. If you submitted financial information on the website you were taken to, you need contact your bank for help.

Got two of these today about 20 minutes apart. I sick of it too. Deleting them and I hope they get caught.

I am sick of these fake microsoft emails. I can tell they arent real because for example if your email starts with c it will say someone tried to log into c.....-hotmail/outlook etc where as the fake emails seem to show your full email addr. Set up 2 step authentification and keep at least one email from that then when you get one if the email doesnt match the legit one you know its fake. I went on and saw no extra emails had been added so this cpeyton one wasnt there, but I checked on sign in activity and there was some from netherlands and usa. I dont live in either of those places. I wish we could report to microsoft and they could find a way to block anyone in those countries trying to log in.

I clicked on "Wasn't Me" but nothing seems to happened, so I blocked and checked on phising scam upon learning about this.

Received 2 of them, Jan. 17th. & Jan. 29th.

I clicked "it wasn't me". It then opens an email to boitereplyverifcation03-gmail.com and sent them an email with subject IT WASN'T ME. Now what? What happens? What do I do?

Change your passwords.

I received this email and the email really has been added to my account. I didnt click anything in the email though. I went to change the email, and it takes 30 days to change but I was never notified of the first change.

I've also received email supposedly from Microsoft stating an email was added to my acct (cpeyton - gmail.com) and if it wasn't me to go to their site to report but there's nothing valid there. I've deleted the email and changed password. Now I'm getting a ton of spam and junk mail since. What do I do?

Same here, I've been receiving email alerts from Microsoft Team that cpeyton-gmail.com had added this email into my Microsoft accounts. I'm not worried because Microsoft has great security software system where you can add extra security to your email account. There are features that you can track where the malicious users area like the state, country, and city, and it shows what type of device they use.

It appears that cpeyton-gmail.com has invaded my email and acquired financial information. I have received messages from Microsoft indicating that cpeyton-gmail.com has been attached to my MS security information but I cannot how I can remove this fraudulent address. I don't not remember sending them my personal information.

If only the people at Microsoft could create a block feature by keywords, etc. I've never seen a more feeble rules get-up than what they think passes for one on outlook.com

If I clicked on a link in this email, will they have access to my personal information on my phone? And is it sufficient enough to have changed the passwords on my Microsoft and Apple ID accounts?

No, only if you submit or sent your information to them.
