Your Apple Id Has Been Locked Scam Text For Security Reasons

If you receive the Apple ID scam text message below that claims your Apple ID has been locked for security reasons and needs to be unlocked, do not follow the instructions in it, just delete it. The Apple ID scam text is being sent by cybercriminals who are attempting to steal their potential victims' Apple account credentials by tricking them into clicking the phishing link in the text scam. The phishing link goes to a fake Apple website that will ask visitors to sign in or submit personal information. If the requested information is submitted, it will be sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam, who will use it fraudulently.

The link in the Apple ID scam text goes to the following fake Apple website:

If visitors attempt to sign into the fake website, their Apple account credentials will be sent to the cybercriminals behind the fake text. Once cybercriminals received the stolen credentials, they will gain unauthorized to their potential victims' account credentials, hijack and use the account fraudulently.
