Scamming - Fraud
Scammers are calling from 02079477502 purporting to be from Central London County Courts threatening legal action and asking recipients to press 1. The scammers claim to be investigating something to do with potential victims' National Insurance Numbers. If someone calls you from 02079477502 claiming they are from Central London County Court or claim to be carrying out some form of investigation regarding your National Insurance Number, just hang up.

I just had a call from this number and it’s very convincing but I know for a fact it’s a scam! Sounded like a Indian lady didn’t speak well English almost felt like she was reading script. I let the “ agent “ explain and I replied this is a scam nice try and they hanged up. Please just hang up the hmrc will not call you in this way
I got a call from that number on my mobile; I ignored it as it came up London and I don't know anyone in London I typed the number into Google and came across this article which confirmed it was a scammer
Just got a call today from the same number (16/08/2021) they asked my name and where I was working, which was fishy if you're calling from HMRC. I've reported this to HMRC via Twitter
just had this call, my heart missed a beat when it showed the caller id as central london, county court appointments. I waited on the line for an agent and when I spoke to somone his english was pretty poor, so 1 minute in to my call I ask for his name, department the phone number and he hung up!
Just had an automated call from this number claiming to be a London County Court. Very convincing but undoubtably a scam.
Just got a call from the number listed here and the chap couldn’t speak English enough to explain why he’s calling my phone! Beware and don’t give any personal details over the phone.
Me too, I didnt even bother to answer it as it was not something I was expecting. Did a Google search and found lots of info advising that it was a scam. As a general rule if the name on the incoming call is not on your list of contacts then don't answer it.
