Postcode Lottery Scam Email - Random Computer Ballot System Prize

The fake Postcode Lottery email below is a scam. Therefore, recipients are asked not to follow the instructions in it. THe fake email claims the recipients' postcode has been selected at random by a computer ballot system and they have won a prize of £1000. The fake Postcode Lottery email then attempts to trick potential victims into sending them their personal information by claiming they need to do so in order to claim their so-called prize.

Your postcode has been selected at random by computer ballot system.

You have won a prize in 4th category, of £1000.

In order to claim your prize, please provide three forms of identification.

Passport or driving licence (front and back or scan or photo)

Selfie photo (please take a photo of yourself)

Selfie with you holding your document next to your face.
