Microsoft Corporate Citizenship Program is conceived with the objective of humanitarian growth and community development. When our giving program began in 1983, approximately 200 Microsoft employees raised $17,000 for non-profits. Today, more than 40,000 employees participate in the campaign, which is approximately 70% of Microsoft's total U.S. workforce. Microsoft matches employee non-profit donations and volunteering year round up to $15,000 per employee.
Since 1983, Microsoft and its employees have provided more than $8.5 billion in cash, services and software to non-profits around the world and more than $1 billion inclusive of the corporate match since 1983. It adds up to a very real impact on local communities near, far and worldwide — and an enduring giving culture that stems directly from our mission as a company: to empower every person and every organization in the planet to achieve more.

Since 1983, Microsoft employees have donated more than $ 'billion, inclusive of the corporate match, to causes they care about; in 2014 alone, they gave $1 l 7 million to almost 20,000 nonprofits and in 2018, U.S. employees rallied together to provide: $163 million in employee donations, 760,000 employee volunteer hours, 21,785 nonprofits and schools supported, 74% employee participation, to celebrate the 37th anniversary program. Microsoft Corporate Citizenship Program is giving out a cash donation of£2,864,000.00 GBP each to 7 lucky recipients and you are one of the lucky recipients.
