Verizons Tech Enabling Exercise Text Scam

The "Verizon's Tech Enabling Exercise" text message below with a link to k2kap21.com is a scam. Therefore, recipients are asked NOT to follow or click on the link in it. The fake text message, which claims recipients can win a MacBook Pro(Apple Laptop), is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick recipients into clicking the link in it, which goes to spam and malicious websites.

Received fake Verizon text from (910)217-4286. Why do I get so many spam text since switching to Verizon? I block and delete at least 10 #'s a day. Super frustrating! Is there a way to combat this?
