The "UPS Unpaid Customs Charge" SMS text messages below are fakes. The fake messages are scams created by cybercriminals to steal their potential victims' personal and financial information. Therefore, recipients of the same text messages are asked not to click the link in them.
We have attempted to deliver your package UPS0164XXXX, but there is an unpaid customs charge. Follow the instructions here: XXXXXX" I checked the package id on the genuine UPS website, but the Tracker stated it was an invalid number. I have reported it to UPS.

Just received this text, has to be a scam but it's new to me. And it has my full name, which is curious. "UPS: HI XXXXX XXXXXXXXX, you still owe $8.78CAD in customs fees for your previous order. To avoid further interest, reply PAY to receive your INVOICE."

The only fee you have to pay is their Security fee only.
