"Amazon Account Suspension" Email Scams

Amazon users who have received fake account suspension emails like the one below are asked not to follow the instructions in them. This is because the fake email is a phishing scam being sent by cybercriminals to steal their potential victims' Amazon account credentials.

Amazon users who have received frightening or threatening emails are asked to go directly to www.amazon.com and sign into their accounts from there, instead of clicking on the links in the emails. If there is something that needs to be done to, or an action was taken against their accounts, they will be notified after signing in.
