I just got an invitation from the NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars) asking for membership into the society with an application. But, are they legitimate?
(2)
The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) is not a scam, it is a legit organization, although a lot of people have made complaints about it and have requested a refund of their registration fee. If you would like a full refund of your registration fee of $75, as per the NSHSS refund policy, you may cancel the membership at any time, however, to receive a refund for the 'one-time' lifetime membership fee of $75, it must be within 60 days from the time the invitation for membership was accepted.
Once you are within the 60 day window to receive a refund, your refund for $75 will be processed and a refund transaction will be sent to you via email for your records. Please allow up to 48 hours before the credit settles to your account. Once this done, your membership will be disabled and you will no longer receive email communications regarding new scholarships, member events, or special partner offerings.
If you have any further questions, please visit the NSHSS' website at https://www.nshss.org/events/.
NSHSS is a legit organization!
