Cybercriminals are sending out the "Hotmail Mandatory Account update" phishing scam below, which claims Hotmail users need to update their accounts due to a recent security updates. Since Hotmail is web based, its users do not need to do anything when Microsoft makes an update. And, Hotmail users would have been notified of changes after signing into their accounts.
