$4000 refund from the DMV? Click on the link? Texted from 1 (410) 100-008? Seriously? Nope…
Also using this number to text the following message:HI this is FedEx. We were unable to deliver a package to your address. Please call to schedule a delivery.
I receive at least one of these a week and I have tried to block it, reported it to wells Fargo and still keep receiving these repeatedly. You would think that with all the technology available they would find these people and prosecute them, for a couple of bucks you can search for a persons life history, the government can track you down, but they cannot stop these people, or do they not want to find them? There has to be a way and working in the IT field I will definitely research this and at the very least find a way to hack them and destroy their devices.

Received via email: "I have been receiving texts for two months that I was traveling in the Orient to various countries from 1(410) 100-007 and (410) 100-008 informing me to email my bank urgently. Further they stated that my account had been suspended. Having retired from the Bank after 27 year service I knew the bank does not text anyone. They will message you on their website or to you email address depending on your instructions. Beware of these texts they are phishing attempts on your accounts."
