Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your swift response and your willingness to work with us and we are sorry for the late response , Wrap advertising is the marketing practice of completely or partially covering (wrapping) a vehicle in an advertisement or livery, thus turning it into a mobile billboard. This can be achieved by simply painting the vehicle surface, but it is becoming more common today to use large vinyl sheets as decals. These can be removed with relative ease, making it much less expensive to change from one advertisement to another. Vehicles with large, flat surfaces, such as buses and light-rail carriages, are fairly easy to work with, though smaller cars with curved surfaces can also be wrapped in this manner. I received a letter from “Rockstar Energy Drink”, after applying online, saying I qualified for the “Car Wrap Advert Program “ and a technician was assigned to me and would contact me through email or phone to schedule. There was a check in the envelope for $1950 . I was to deposit the check, notify them that it was deposited., send $1450 to the technician and keep $500. Checked into this and found out that it was a scam! No money was deposited and no money was sent! Please be aware!

I received a text message offering to pay me $500 per week for 8 weeks to let them wrap my car with Rockstar Energy Drink advertisement. Text said they would send me $2950 in which $2450 goes to the decal specialist that will be coming to install the decal. Message said once I get the check they will provide me with the necessary information of the decal installer.

They did get my name and address and of course already had my phone number before I decided to look it up as a possible scam. And found you. Here is the number that text was sent from. 414-892-8002.

Thank You

Betty

I got one for Rockstar as well. No email, but the person contacted me via text after responding to an ad. It did seem sketchy the whole time but I wasn't 100% sure until I actual got the check that they sent via USPS Priority Mail. The signature on the check was clearly placed there by some (poorly executed) photo manipulation and didn't match the name of the account which it was supposedly coming from, which I found out after contacting my bank is a closed account.

The person contacting me was "Michael" (no last name mentioned at all) who introduced himself as an, "Advert Manager from Rockstar Energy," and used the phone number 1 (914) 206-0596.

After receiving the check he said I should send 3 payments of $1,500 via Zelle or CashApp to Adreon Levells (adreonlevellss@gmail.com).

Just got a check by FedEx overnight, with a note with a number to text. They texted me back with the Rock Star scam story. I just told them I was going to rip up the check - not interested in their scam.

Are there any legitimate opportunities for this kind of advertising? I've seen vehicles on the road that advertise for RickStar and some other energy drinks?

They all are completely wrapped with unbelievable and outrageous wraps! I have always commented while driving around with my wife: "Why would anyone do that to their car, (unless they work for the company), or is it a company-owned vehicle?"
