Microsoft Hotmail Phishing Scam - "[ACCOUNT-ALERT - 6605180027 0871251453-SSA] "

So if I have received one of these scam alerts, after reading through what you wrote, is my Hotmail account still okay if I just report the scam to Hotmail/Outlook and through my Inbox as well? Even though I wasn't silly enough to click the link.

Or is it compromised already do you think?

The Hotmail account is usually sitting open and was defiantly open, so I entered NO password to open Hotmail, when this arrived December 19th.

I sort of guessed with their CC with 'admarketing' in it that it wasn't really real. But I do check now days as they can make them seem so genuine.

Also I never tend anything that says that if I do not 'very' or what not "My account will be closed in 24 hours." Because here it is 48 hours later & I am still receiving Christmas bills.

I really do hope you could get back to me please or someone else with correct knowledge of these to answer my question above.

Merry Christmas.

Your account is ok. You did the right thing by not clicking on the link.

Once you didn't click on the link and enter your Hotmail account's username and password on the phishing website or attempted to sign into the phishing website, your Hotmail account is ok.

But, if at any you think your account has been compromised, you may change your password.
