The email message was NOT sent by American Express, but by scammers whose intention is to lure you to a phishing website to steal your credit card, personal and financial information.

If you are ever asked to sign into your American Express account, always go to the following website address: https://online.americanexpress.com/

If you have already entered your credit card information on the phishing website, please contact your bank.
